Abstract

The development of financial technology in Indonesia has brought significant changes to transaction behavior, including among university students. One of the major innovations in digital payment systems is the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), developed by Bank Indonesia to integrate various QR code-based payment methods. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of QRIS as a digital transaction tool among students of the Oil and Gas Production Engineering Study Program at PEM Akamigas Cepu, Blora Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving students who use QRIS. The effectiveness of QRIS was assessed based on four aspects: ease of use, transaction security, payment processing speed, and system reliability. The results indicate that the effectiveness of QRIS across these four aspects is categorized as high. This finding is consistent with the studies conducted by Aryawati et al. (2022) and Kurniawati et al. (2022), which found that user satisfaction and positive perceptions of QRIS are influenced by its practicality and efficiency. Furthermore, Berliana et al. (2022) found that effectiveness, trust, and ease of use simultaneously have a significant effect on users' intention to use QRIS. Therefore, QRIS has proven to be an effective digital transaction tool for university students and contributes to supporting digital transformation in higher education.
