Abstract

Agriculture is considered a high-risk industry in many countries because the most important factor in the agricultural industry is people. Every year, as many as 2.78 million workers and laborers die due to work-related diseases and accidents. The 2017 National Safety Council (NSC) report shows that around 13% of workers in the United States who experience work accidents are caused by fatigue. Work fatigue is one of the leading causes of workplace accidents, accounting for up to 50% of all incidents. This research was conducted in Soppeng Regency in August 2022 with a total sample of 89 respondents. The research was analyzed using the Chi-Square test and presented in the form of narration and tables. Based on the results of statistical tests, it was found that there was a relationship between age (0.012), length of work (0.010), and work attitude (0.000) and work fatigue with a p-value of  0.05. Farmers should arrange rest periods and occasionally stretch their muscles so they can overcome fatigue.
